Winter Weather Alert Day for Monday mostly for Ashtabula, Trumbull, and Mahoning counties and areas into Pennsylvnaia and travelers heading eastward towards Buffalo.

Interstate 90 heading eastward should be snow-covered.

There will be snow Monday, Monday night and into Tuesday. This is all due to a large storm system expected to move north across Central Pennsylvania over the next 2 days.

The system will likely have enough cold air and moisture with it to bring some snow to Northeastern Ohio. The heaviest snow is likely to be east and because of this, there is a WINTER STORM WARNING for Ashtabula, Trumbull and Mahoning counties that goes into effect 4 a.m. Monday and continues through 3 p.m. Tuesday.

Sunday night will be cloudy, windy and cold, with a few snow showers overnight. Low: 38.  Wind: North 15-25, gusts-35 mph.

A WIND ADVISORY goes into effect for all of Northern Ohio at 4 a.m. Monday and continues until 8 p.m. Monday night. Monday will be cloudy, windy and cold with snow showers likely.

Morning snow could accumulate 1″-3″ in the Greater Cleveland/Akron Canton area, then mixing with rain in the afternoon.

The Warned areas will see snow throughout the day, 3″-6″ accumulation.  High: 43.  Wind: North 25-30, gusts-55 mph.

Blowing and drifting snow and strong winds could cause downed tree limbs and power outages.
