Crews worked all day Sunday to put the finishing touches on Cleveland’s Horseshoe Casino.

Ohio’s first casino is nearly ready to open its doors. Visitors have already started showing up in the city in anticipation of the 9:30 p.m. Monday grand opening.

“We’re gonna have a look at the casino just to see what it looks like, see what all of the fuss is about and why everybody is so happy,” said Michael Kelly from Ireland.

Workers installed the last of the outdoor security cameras. Those cameras are linked to the indoor cameras and to Cleveland police.

Carl Mayer spent the day stripping down the doors to the original brass. His brass company isn’t the only one betting on Cleveland.

“It’s keepin’ a lot of companies busy now. It’s nice you got us in here, you got flooring guys, you got concrete guys working.”

Parking rates have now been released for the casino’s garage. It’s located at the corner of Ontario and Prospect. Self-parking is $15 before 4 p.m. After 5 p.m., it’s $25. Special event parking is $35.
