Although she’s not been on the small screen too much lately, Raven Symone is busy behind the scenes and on the Broadway stage.
Last month she came out as Deloris Van Cartier in the theater adaptation of “Sister Act.” She’s also been working on giving back to the community through her latest global health care initiative with Merck’s “Plan it Forward” campaign.
The group’s goal is to help young women plan for the future and inspire dreams to attend college and living life with a broader perspective.
“Plan It Forward is it’s a way for young adults and young women to plan their lives, whether it’s in education, career, family planning, contraception, or how ever you want to continue to live your life. With this website you’re able to use the different tools that they have to help you reach those goals,” she said.
Symone added that a rewarding part of the program is that women are allotted opportunities to transform their own communities by making that step to a better future for themselves
