The Greater Cleveland Peace Officers Memorial Society honors and remembers fallen officers from Northeast Ohio.

On Friday and Saturday, several events are planned in downtown Cleveland to pay tribute to the civil servants who made the ultimate sacrafice to protect our community.

On Friday May 18, the public is encouraged to attend a parade that begins at 10:30 a.m. on Lakeside Ave, from E. 12th Street to W. 3rd Street.

Following the parade, at 11:30 a.m., there will be a memorial service at the Police Memorial Square in Huntington Park, located at corner of Lakeside and W. 3rd.

On Saturday May 19, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., there will be a Public Safety Fair and Expo on East 6th Street between Lakeside Avenue and Rockwell Avenue.

This is an opportunity for families to meet the men and women who serve our community and a chance to see up-close the equipment they use.

The Cleveland International Tattoo will be held Saturday, May 19at Public Auditorium in Public Hall.
