Family and friends gathered Monday night to remember a teenage girl who was killed at a weekend house party.

Police said an argument broke out at a house on Elberon Avenue and gunfire erupted outside the house at about 12:40 a.m. Sunday. Lataevia Williams, 14, died from a gunshot wound to the neck.

“I don’t want to hear about that night. They went home to their mamas, except mine,” Williams’ mother said on Monday. “I want to thank everyone that’s supporting me. Lord knows I need it. It’s my only daughter.”

About a hundred people attended Monday’s vigil.

Four others were injured during the shooting. Three of them were treated and released, but the condition of the fourth victim is not known at this time.

Police said multiple shooters are involved and no arrests have been made. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Cleveland police homicide unit at 216-623-5464.
