I gotta admit that when I heard Alexis spit her rap during the song “Imagine Me” I was surprised. And you know what? She was awesome.

I loved how she slid so effortlessly back into her song after she finished. Will this little surprise give her a slight edge over Joshua?

I guess we will see next week! Be sure to vote for your favorite over at the BET Sunday Best website here. You have until Saturday to vote.

This week the show opened with a stunning performance of “Lord, You’ve Been So Good” by Season 4 winner Amber Bullock. I loved the performance! And her hair was on point. LOL!

VaShawn Mitchell was also a featured performer on the show. He sung “Turning Around For Me” which is on his latest CD, Created 4 This. I love the lyrics of this song and VaShawn did a wonderful job conveying the message of the song.

The two finalists sung two songs each. Alexis sung “And Yet I’m Still Saved” and “Imagine Me” and Joshua sung Isaac Carree’s hit song “In The Middle” and “Lord Lift Us Up.” I think both contestants did great on both–my favorites were Alexis singing “Imagine Me” mainly because of the rap portion and Joshua’s restrained and touching version of “Lord Lift Us Up.”

Who do you think should win the title of BET Sunday Best? Alexis or Joshua? Who are you voting for?
