Are you ready for Gospel Music’s biggest night?? Well, we’re almost there–the nominees for 2013 Stellar Awards were announced this morning via webcast on the Stellar Awards website.

More than 30,000 fans logged in online to cast their votes for their favorite projects of the year. Gospel duo Mary Mary leads the list of nominees with nine nominations, including Song Of The Year and Contemporary Group/Duo of the Year. Charles Jenkins received eight nods, two of which are for Best New Artist and Song Of The Year.

Bishop T.D. Jakes will receive the Thomas A. Dorsey Most Notable Achievement Award, the James Cleveland Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to Kurt Carr and the Ambassador Dr. Bobby Jones Legends Award will be bestowed upon Inez Andrews for her contributions to the industry.

This year’s Stellar Awards, which will be held January 19, 2013, will be hosted by Mary Mary and Kirk Franklin. The 28th annual event is returning to Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry House. The show will air in syndication from January 19th through March 3rd. The event will feature live performances from Tamela Mann, Charles Jenkins & Fellowship Chicago, Israel Houghton, Marvin Sapp, Tye Tribbett, Le’Andria Johnson and more.

The live taping at the Grand Ole Opry House is open to the public. Tickets, which range from $55-$200, are on sale now at ticketmaster.com. Balcony seats are available for students for $35.00.
