High winds closed schools, uprooted trees and knocked out power across northeast Ohio. As viewers awake Tuesday, they are realizing the scope of the damage and what’s happening in their communities . There are several road closures and reports of high water: Downtown:

The East 9th Street entrance ramp to Interstate 77 southbound is closed due to high water. Motorists can use Broadway Avenue to enter I-77 southbound. Cleveland –

All lanes are now closed on I-90 Eastbound at East 55th Street due to high water coming onto the Interstate from the lake. The detour route for I-90 eastbound is East 55th Street to St.Clair Avenue to East 72nd Street. The I-90 westbound detour remains Eddy Road to St Clair to East 55th Street to I-90 westbound.

All lanes are closed on I-90 westbound at East 72nd Street due to high water coming onto the Interstate from the lake Martin Luther King Drive north of Amoleside Drive is closed. The Great Lake Science Center closed Tuesday. Valley View: Canal, Murray and Fosdick roads are flooding in Valley View.

Residents are moving vehicles to higher ground. Emergency access road to Heinton is open, Tracy Malkowski said. Cleveland: Viewer Michelle Rose said a tree down in front of her house on Indiana Road. Liz Cucci said a tree is down in front of her house on West 127th Street. Berea:

The traffic light is not working at Eastland and East Bagley roads. North Olmsted: Porter Road still closed between Martin Dr & Center Ridge Rd. Streetsboro: Route 303 at bypass and between Jefferson and Stone roads Closed due to flooding. LaGrange: SR 303, just west of SR 301 in the village of LaGrange is closed due to a fallen tree.
