The beautiful moments in America keep us loving the country and the folks in it.  The Sunshine state is one state that desperately needs a little sunshine with all the mayhem that’s been reported out of there.

In Port St. Lucie, Florida, this past weekend, St. Lucie West Centennial High School crowned Hakam Daley their beloved Homecoming King.  No one in the school thought anyonedeserved it more.

According to CNN, Daley is a senior at the high school that has a few more challenges than a heavy book bag and college applications.  He has cerebral palsey and is confined to a wheelchair. But that all changed for him this weekend.

He walked publicly, for the first time, in front of the school’s cheering crowd as the school’s Homecoming King.Lots of his friends voted for him, but his friend Kayla Donohue, a cheerleader at the school got the senior class to nominate him saying that it was important that he could have this “special experience that he’d remember the rest of his life.”
