This flu season is showing signs of being a bad one. Doctors are reporting a surge in hospitalizations of people with flu-like symptoms.

In Cleveland, 4.4 percent of reported deaths were from pneumonia, often associated with influenza. Most of the deaths occured in people over age 75.

Good hand hygiene, covering coughs and sneezes, and staying home if you’re sick are good ways to help avoid spreading the flu virus and the dozens of other germs this season.
