Just days after announcing she’s officiallypreparing to return toGood Morning America, Robin Roberts underwent her first practice run today, reports People.

Roberts promised she would be undergoing several dry-runs so her doctors could see how her skin handles the makeup and heavy lights before her February return. Her doctors also want a good indication of how many people she comes in contact with.

She woke up at 3:45 a.m. and made it to the studio by 5 a.m. “What a thrill to be back at GMA‘s Times Square Studio this morning and see the best folks in the world,” said Roberts. “I can’t wait to get back to the anchor chair in a few weeks.”

Roberts’ return will be her first time back in the anchor’s chair since August 30—although she appeared on air several times from her home and the hospital.

On January 1, Roberts celebrated her 100-day milestone after undergoing her bone marrow transplant in September.
