Whether you’re a wife or mother, living with, and loving another person has a way of changing you—something Sherri Shepherd, Christian co-host of ABC’s The View, opened up about on Twitter. The busy wife to Sal and mom to Jeffery shared a wisdom nugget her pastors Phillip and Holly Wagner taught her.

According to Shepherd’s tweet, her pastors “always said marriage works on your selfishness & kids work on your patience.”

Then she asked, “When’s clockout time?”

In response to her question, Holly, one of the lead pastors of “Oasis Church” in LA, replied, “Ha! No clock out time!”

She continued, “Good thing is that selflessness and patience makes us better people!” and ended with, “ Love you!”

Shepherd loves Holly and her husband Phillip too.

The Wagners, who have been married for over 28 years, made a guest appearance on The View in 2012. During their special feature, Shepherd shared her story of how she met her two “mentors” that were instrumental in shaping her life and introducing her to Christ during a tough transitional phase.

Though Shepherd now resides in NY, when she is in LA the busy media personality visits Oasis and regularly keeps in touch.
