1. Thousands of NKoreans Support Call to Arms

Thousands of North Koreans turned out for a massive rally in Pyongyang on Friday in support of their leader Kimg Jong Un’s call to arms. State media reports that Kim Jong Un called an emergency military meeting to order rockets to prepare a strike against the U.S. and South Korea in the event of “reckless provocation” by Washington or Seoul.

2. Zookeeper Attacked by Tiger

A Quebec zookeeper is expected to survive after being seriously injured following a reported tiger attack on Thursday. The worker reportedly entered the animal’s pen thinking it was still in its sleeping quarters.

3. Mandela Being Treated in South Africa

Nelson Mandela is still being treated at an unspecified hospital in South Africa. The former South African president was readmitted for his recurring lung infection late Wednesday night.

4. Va. Teacher Had No Idea About Poisoning Attempt

A teacher in Virginia whose students have been charged with trying to poison her says she had no idea the middle school students were putting hand sanitizer in her tea. Jane Miller says the sanitizer she was using was 60 percent alcohol or about 130 proof.
