Cleveland is getting in shape.

That’s according to a new list of the nation’s healthiest cities.

The American College of Sports Medicine just released its annual fitness index and the Cleveland Metropolitan Area ranked 19th.

Minneapolis-St. Paul topped the list for the third year in a row.

The report looks at the 50 largest metropolitan areas in the U.S., and took in to account personal health indicators like eating habits and smoking rates, as well as community and environmental factors like the number of farmers’ markets and acres of parkland per capita.

Cleveland’s areas of excellence included the number of farmers’ markets, ball diamonds, golf courses, and more, as well as a higher level of state requirement for physical education classes.

Things Clevelanders can improve on? Eating more fruits and vegetables per day, cutting down on smoking and obesity, and taking more public transportation to work.
