The Guardian Angels are an all-volunteer group, started in New York in 1979.

The Cleveland chapter has 27 members, and plays a role in keeping missing persons cases in the public’s mind, and has done so for many years.

The members are also trained in safety, domestic violence awareness and community education.

They patrol streets, assist with traffic control, and hold summer camps for at-risk youth.

For members, it’s simply a passion and calling to serve the community.

Members each give upwards of 30 hours of volunteer time a month.
