A 30-year-old man is dead after he was shot by a security guard overnight, according to Cleveland Police.
Police say a man and woman were fighting at an apartment complex in the 1400 block of East Boulevard around 10:30 p.m. on Thursday night.
A security guard intervened and shot and killed the man. Police say the suspect allegedly had a gun, but no gun has been recovered yet.
The Cleveland Police Homicide Unit is investigating as is the use of deadly force team. They look into all matters involving shootings that involve an officer. Police on scene say the security guard is not a member of the Cleveland Police Force but may be from another jurisdiction.
