The 100 teens selected for the Disney Dreamers Academy with Steve Harvey and ESSENCE Magazine were announced Monday, and three of those teens are from Ohio.
The Ohio participants are: Andrianna Watson from Garfield Heights, Lucretia Adams from Sagamore Hills and Christopher Simmons Jr. from Toledo.
Those selected, along with a parent or guardian, will receive an all-expense-paid trip to Walt Disney World Resort March 6-9.
The students will be participating in an innovative, outside-the-classroom, educational and mentoring program.
The program is in its seventh year at the resort. The Disney Dreamers Academy is designed to inspire and help teens discover the world of possibilities for the future.
The ‘classrooms’ take place both on stage and behind the scenes at the theme parks.
