Northeast Ohio was slammed Wednesday with another blast of winter weather.

Residents in Brook Park, Parma Heights, North Olmsted and Lorain lost power due to pole fires starting at 8:30 a.m.  As of 10:00 p.m, 5,925 residents are still without power.

Schools across the area closed for yet another day.  Thankfully, today theOhio House approved changes to the calamity day bill and schools will have four extra days.

A flagpole at E. 12th Street and Superior Avenue was toppled over by the strong winds.
