Drivers beware. Downtown detours could impact your commute starting Tuesday morning. That’s when filming is set to begin on yet another movie being shot  in Cleveland.

Over the past three years, Cleveland has become a movie mecca as a place to film blockbuster Hollywood movies, like the ‘The Avengers’ and ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier.’

“I think it’s good for the city of Cleveland that more movies are starting to come down here. It’s bringing business into town. People are starting to recognize that Cleveland is up and coming,” said Westlake resident, Nate Alpine.

Monday afternoon, assistant directors were checking out the area near East 12th and Chester as they prepare to film the movie thriller, ‘Criminal Activities,’ starring John Travolta.

During the filming, many of the roads in this area will be closed on and off, starting Tuesday at 6:00 a.m. and then filming for the day should be wrapped up around 3:00 p.m.

Filming resumes on Thursday in other places around downtown, including Public Square, The Flats, and the near east side. Various road closures should occur through the end of June.
