Cleveland Browns’ owner Jimmy Haslam is speaking out about the $92 million agreement reached with federal prosecutors that protects his Knoxville based company from criminal prosecution.

Haslam’s Pilot Flying J Travel Centers have been under a federal investigation since April 15, 2013 following allegations that some Pilot employees cheated truckers out of millions in promised fuel rebates.

A criminal enforcement agreement reached between federal prosecutors and Pilot states that the company will not be subject to criminal prosecution as long as it upholds a series of requirements spelled out in the document.

In a statement released by Pilot Flying J, Haslam said, “We, as a company, look forward to putting this whole unfortunate episode behind us, continuing our efforts to rectify the damage done, regaining our customers’ trust and getting on with our business.”
