Sherri Shepherd’s woes are multiplying. In an already tough year that has seen her seven-year stint on The View end as well as her marriage to second husband Lamar Sally, there is yet another wrinkle.
Shepherd and Sally, who have both filed for divorce on two coasts, are embroiled in a battle over their as-yet-unborn child.
The child was to be delivered by surrogate and reportedly was created from Sally’s sperm but not Sherri’s egg. According to published reports, Shepherd believes that Sally wants custody of the child to extort child support from her and no longer wants to be liable for the child nor does she want custody.
TMZ reports that Sally is now preparing to make Shepherd responsible for the child and will insist that she adhere to the surrogate agreement already in place.
