Channel 3 Investigation found passengers on RTA’s Red Line from Cleveland Hopkins International Airport to the Louis Stokes/Windermere Station near East Cleveland, along with stops in between, are riding for free.

“A lot of people get on the train and don’t pay. I see it all the time,” said Zaida Aponte, who was boarding the train at the Ohio City/West 25th stop. That appears to be a shared sentiment from a number of riders.

“That’s what everybody does. People ride the train all night long because they have nowhere to go, so they know they aren’t going to be stopped,” said Wayne Braxton of Cleveland.
