It may take a minute to adjust, but the Ohio Department of Transportation announced some big lane change configurations you should be aware of.

Take note, these changes are permanent according to their spokesperson Jocelynn Clemings.

“Because we are making so many changes as part of the innerbelt plan and doing the construction of the second new bridge we are trying to make things better,” Clemings said. “We are trying to make traffic flow more efficiently so many of these changes are being put in place in order to help traffic flow better.”

On the departments website they list the following information about the lane changes that take affect Thursday morning:

Motorists should be alert for NEW traffic patterns. Motorists are encouraged to follow all posted signage. Details are below:

Left turns from E 30th Street south onto the ramp to I-77 south will no longer be permitted. Motorists will instead use Woodland Ave west toward Orange Ave where a NEW left-turn-only lane will lead to Orange Ave and on to I-77 south.

Motorists exiting I-77 south to East 30th St/Woodland/Broadway will no longer be permitted to cross over traffic in order to take a right turn on East 30th St (toward Broadway).  Motorists will instead turn left on East 30th St to Woodland Ave west toward Orange Ave where a NEW left-turn-only lane will lead to Orange Ave and on to East 30th St southbound (toward Broadway).
