The now TV sports analyst’s worst fears have been laid to rest as his niece has returned home safe and sound, according to a tweet he posted September 29:

As previously reported by NewsOne, Nikki reportedly disappeared from her Yorba Linda, California home and when relatives discovered she was nowhere to be found, they alerted authorities.  After investigators searched the home and surmised that Nikki had not been abducted against her will, they concluded the case was that of a runaway teen and that she had probably been picked up by a car a short distance from her residence.

Miller decided to put his Twitter followers on the case by tweeting out a flyer with a photo of his niece and asking that anyone with even the remotest bit of info about Nikki to contact the family.  Just an hour after the tweet was posted, some 7,500 followers retweeted Miller’s plea.  Orange County deputies even used bloodhounds to try to locate the teen as well.

Where Nikki wound up going, or why she left her home in the first place, is still a mystery but according to Lt. John Roche, who spoke to the L.A. Times about the case, “As with most teenagers, when they get hungry or run out of money, they want to come home.”

Suffice it to say, Nikki now has one happy uncle!
