Ohioans have until Monday to register to vote or update their voter information for the fall election.

Voters will pick the next governor along with other statewide officeholders on Nov. 4. Residents also will decide a number of legislative races and the outcome of more than 1,600 local issues.

Secretary of State Jon Husted says county elections boards will send absentee ballots to other voters beginning on Tuesday when early in-person voting is expected to start.

Husted’s office has mailed more than 6 million absentee ballot applications to voters. Additional applications are being sent this month to those individuals who have registered to vote or updated their voting information since Aug. 1.

The deadline to request an absentee ballot is noon on Nov. 1.
