As a part of the Innerbelt Bridge construction project, The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) will be reconfiguring the access ramps from downtown onto I-77.

Traffic previously entered I-77 from East 9th and Ontario Streets, but with the new updates, drivers will use an upgraded boulevard along Orange Avenue. The East 14th Street entrance that is currently close will also reopen with improvements.

The on-ramp to I-77 south from East 30th Street and Orange Avenue will be widened to carry two lanes of traffic onto the highway. The timing of the traffic signals will also adapt to create a better flow of traffic.

Sometime this week, the Ontario Street ramp to I-77 south will close, but you can click HERE to see alternate routes. Stay with us for the exact date of the closure.

The project with flatter the curves better, keeping drivers safer and traffic flowing more smoothly. There will also be a new off-ramp to East 9th Street southbound, and the new extension, providing direct access to the flats.
