The families of two people killed and shot at 137 times by Cleveland Police officers will receive a settlement of $3 million.

On November 29, 2012, Timothy Russell and Malissa Williams were killed when 13 officers fired 137 bullets into their car.

Russell and Williams were involved in a high -speed police chase that started in downtown Cleveland and ended with their death in the parking lot of Heritage Middle School in East Cleveland.

A grand jury indicted Patrol Officer Michael Brelo on two counts of voluntary manslaughter, but cleared the other 12 officers involved in the shooting of criminal charges.

The families of Russell and Williams will split the money evenly, according to one of the attorneys representing a family member of Russell.
