Filming in for comic book flick “The Avengers” has been the talk of the town this week, as E. 9th Street in downtown Cleveland has turned into a full movie set, filled with explosions, flipped cars and screaming extras.
But Tuesday night another movie started filming in Cleveland.
“I, Alex Cross,” a suspense thriller starring Tyler Perry, filmed some scenes at the XO Steakhouse in the Warehouse District late Tuesday night and into early Tuesday morning.
Perry was spotted in the restaurant for the filming on Tuesday night.
To film the scenes, the streets and restaurant were packed with extras to give the area the feel of a busy downtown area, even though it was the middle of the night.
“I, Alex Cross” is just one of the movies calling Cleveland home this summer, as “The Avengers” and “Fun Size” have already filmed several scenes around town. “The Avengers” is expected to continue filming in downtown Cleveland throughout the week.
