Lakewood was among a dozen schools that were invited to send students to the event because of their use of a curriculum called “Facing History,” which teaches about tolerance and moral choices. Students were invited to attend because of their participation in a human rights class and the school’s Race and Diversity Club. The Lakewood Alumni Foundation paid for the trip.
