The Cleveland Browns selected defensive nose tackle Phil Taylor from Baylor as the 21st overall pick in the NFL Draft.

Browns running back Peyton Hillis, who was just voted onto the cover of EA Sports video game Madden NFL 12, announced the pick in New York City Thursday night.

At 6 foot 3, 334 pounds, Taylor spent two seasons playing for Penn State before going to Baylor. Taylor was voted second team all Big 2012 in 2010 and will probably serve as a replacement for Shaun Rogers, who was released earlier this year.

The Cleveland Browns traded their number six pick in the 2011 NFL Draft to the Atlanta Falcons, for the number 27th pick. The team then traded picks again with the Chiefs for the 21st pick.

In the trade with the Falcons, the Browns also got a second round and fourth round pick. Cleveland will also get Atlanta’s first and fourth round picks in the 2012 draft.
