Tickets are now on sale for the 10th Annual I Hear Music in the Air weekend, Cincinnati’s premier gospel event, set for May 13 to 15, 2011. The celebration attracts thousands from throughout the U.S. for a conference, concert, gala and more. Every year, I Hear Music in the Air assembles well-known gospel music industry professionals, artists and worship leaders to provide a unique industry perspective by drawing on personal and professional experiences. “Attendees of I Hear Music in the Air will be blessed by the sharing of the wealth of knowledge this weekend of praise and worship, instruction and networking have to offer,” says CEO Tracey Artis.

The weekend kicks off Friday night, May 13, with the “I Hear Music Concert” at the Aronoff Center for the Arts in Downtown Cincinnati. The concert will feature Bishop Hezekiah Walker and the Love Fellowship Choir, J. Moss, 21:03, New Direction, The Nevels Sisters and Joshua’s Troop. Tickets for the concert are now on sale. All tickets are $20 and select VIP seating tickets are $50.

Saturday’s events include a conference, teen summit and music competition. Starting in the morning, the “I Hear Music Conference” will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Sharonville. Registration fee is $25. The conference includes several classes in multiple tracks. The Pastors and Leaders Track is led by Marvin Sapp, pastor and best-selling gospel artist. Other tracks are the Producers/Songwriters Track, Dance Track and Radio – Airplay 360. In addition, the conference includes panel discussions on The State of our Industry and the State of Our Faith. Vickie Winans, winner of eight Stellar Awards and six Grammy nominations will lead the closing ceremony.

The “I Hear Music Teen Summit” will be held at Rhino’s Live, hosted by J. Moss and featuring Canton Jones. Following the Teen Summit will be the “I Hear Music Best” competition, starting at 3 p.m. at Rhino’s Live. Judges for the event will be Sunday Best contestants Zebulon Ellis and John McClure well as Tracey Artis, P. Ann Everson Price and Faith Daniels. Hosting the event will be J. Moss and Doris Stokes.

The weekend wraps up Sunday evening with the Legends Ball at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, which celebrates ministries, individuals and organizations that have had an impact on the world. The event is filled with music and celebration of honorees. Honorees for the Legends Ball include Dwight Tillery, President and CEO, The Center for Closing the Health Gap; Dolores Lindsay, CEO, The HealthCare Connection; Jim Johnson, CEO, WDAO Radio; and The Rance Allen Group. The event will be hosted by Faith Daniels and Courtis Fuller. Honorary chairpersons are Donna Jones Baker, President, Urban League of Greater Cincinnati; and Senator Eric Kearney and Jan-Michele Lemon Kearney, CEO Sesh Communications. Ticket price is $60.
