Head of The IMF Arrested, Accused of Attempted Rape
Dominique Strauss-Kahn, a French politician and the head of International Monetary Fund was arrested Saturday for attempted rape at an upscale New York City hotel.
According to a maid, Strauss-Kahn forced her to perform a sex act after she found him inside his room, which she thought was empty.
Police arrested Strauss-Kahn aboard an Air France jet at New York’s JFK airport, just minutes before it was set for take off.
The arrest shocked France where the popular political figure is considered a strong challenger in the French Presidential election next year.
He has run the IMF for almost 4 years and lead the organization through Europe’s debt crisis.
