Women around the world stand in awe of her toned biceps and first lady Michelle Obama proved that they weren’t just for show as she dropped to the floor to do some push-ups with Archbishop Desmond Tutu yesterday.

They were promoting healthy living to youths at the Cape Town Stadium during her official solo visit to South Africa this week.

The 79-year-old archbishop defied his years when he got down on the floor to join in the push-ups before showing off his soccer skills with some dribbling.

He introduced Mrs Obama as a VIP but told all the children that they were VSPs – “very special persons.”

Obama added: “In order to be a VSP, you’ve got to be what? A VHP – a ‘very healthy person.’ Right? Which means you’ve got to have the knowledge and the internal wisdom to make sure you’re taking care of yourself.

“It’s hard to have an impact if you’re not in the best condition possible.”
