A new study reveals that Hispanics and not African-Americans have been hit the hardest during the recession.
The study, released by the Pew Foundation with data collected from the Census Bureau, indicates that Hispanics have had the largest wealth decline of any group since the country went into a recession.
Hispanics households median wealth declined 66 percent from 2005 to 2009. African Americans saw their wealth drop by 53 percent. Asians also saw a big decline dropping 54 percent. Median wealth of whites is now 20 times that of black households and 18 times that of Hispanic households.
