P atti LaBelle has been invited to take part in “A Call to Compassion,” the three-day commemoration of the tenth anniversary of the “9/11 attacks”. Patti will perform on September 11th at “A Concert for Hope,” along with Country legend Alan Jackson and renowned mezzo soprano Denyce Graves, at The Washington National Cathedral in Washington D.C.. President Obama will end the 9/11 anniversary weekend by speaking at the concert. The concert follows a day of spiritual and contemplative events at the Cathedral, including a morning interfaith service and a forum discussion about compassion with writer Karen Armstrong. “A Concert For Hope” will air on ABC nationwide live Sunday, September 11, check local listings. The weekend commemoration will also be shared with military men and women deployed across the country and around the world by the Pentagon Channel.
