A Cleveland Browns player is facing legal trouble.
Gerard Lawson is accused of driving drunk and crashing a car in the warehouse district.
Lawson, 25, who is a defensive back for the Browns, is charged with DUI and hit skip.
Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Deputies said they witnessed Lawson crash into a parked car Saturday night on West 6th Street near Lakeside Avenue.
Deputies saud Lawson tried to take off, but he was stopped, arrested and booked into the city jail.
No one was injured in this accident.
The Browns released the following statement:
“We are aware of the situation with Gerard and are conitnuing to gather all the information. Until we have done that we wil not make any further comment.”
