The music business in Cleveland is a “huge” economic driver worth hundreds of millions of dollars. A new study done for the “community Partnership for Arts and Culture” says the music scene in Cleveland big big business
The “Remix Cleveland” study, conducted by the Maxine Goodman Levin College of Urban Affairs at Cleveland State University, concludes that just last year, more than 62-hundred people made their living in the music sector working as musicians, instrument makers, or recording studios, among others.
The paycheck for the music sector last year? Nearly $275 million.
And when you factor in the cost of instruments and supplies the music sector buys, and the manufacturing jobs needed to make those goods and services, the music biz in Cleveland cranked out nearly $840 million in output last year.
