Cleveland Metroparks kicked off their 22nd year of Boo At The Zoo. All the stars come out like Buzz Lightyear, Lady Gaga and Spiderman. Jugglers, robots and a peg legged stilt walker greeted the kids as they arrived. Despite the rain Thursday night, everyone had a great time.

“We really found a nitch at the zoo for a safe fun Halloween entertainment for little kids there’s no blood no guts no gore here,” said zoo spokesperson Sue Allen.

The event is designed for kids two through eleven. The entire zoo is lit up with decorations.

The growls, howls and roars you hear are from the animals. Most all of them are out to see. There were a lot of cute kids in costume too.

The event has popular areas such as the Hay Maze, Ghostly Golf, The Enchanted Forest Pathway, Spooky Train Ride, a magician, crafts, a puppet show, live animal shows and the Not So Haunted Greenhouse.

There were several musical acts like the singing witches, the Disney Channel has a dance competition, and at Monster Mash the DJ had them dancing some more.

New this year is the nightly elephant feeding. At approximately 7:30 p.m. elephants are fed pumpkins which they smash and eat.

A few tickets remain for Friday October 21. Both Saturdays (October 22 and 29) are sold out. There are still tickets left for Thursdays, next Friday and both Sundays. Tickets are available at the Zoo box office from 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily. Or order online at http://www.clemetzoo.com
