The New York Daily News is reporting the NBA will be canceling at least two more weeks of its season, according to a person familiar with the leagues plans.

The story said the announcement will be coming as early as Tuesday. It also adds that the two sides far apart on major “system” issues, the cancellations are expected to total at least 102 more games, through Nov. 28. No further talks are in the works.

Commissioner David Stern said before last week’s meeting with the players association and the owners with a federal mediator, that the games through Christmas could be canceled if they did not have a deal in place by last week.

This marks the third cancellation by the league, after already wiping out the NBA preseason and the first two weeks of the NBA season. The games are costing the city of Cleveland and local businesses millions of dollars in revenue as each game is being cancelled.

A turning point could happen as early as next week. The NBA players will start missing paychecks starting in the month of November. Players usually get paid on the 15th and 30th of every month during the season, beginning in Nov. and ending in May.
