The city of Cleveland and the Cleveland School District will hold neighborhood meetings over the next two weeks to outline steps that will be taken to keep students safe when the school year begins Aug. 26.

Cleveland Safety Director Martin Flask said security personnel from the city, schools and other agencies have developed a comprehensive safety plan to address potential problems created by the closing of 16 schools. Those closings mean that some students will be attending classes in unfamiliar neighborhoods.
