Award-winning gospel artist Ami Rushes is doing something special by reaching out with a helping hand. Rushes is encouraging her Twitter and Facebook friends to pay it forward with the Unexpected Acts of Kindness campaign from November 8th – November 21st.
“The time has come when we cannot just rely on others to make the world a better place – each one of us has to do our part,” Rushes explains. “It is time for us to be more aware of our Personal Social Responsibility.”
Although this is a concept that dates back to The Golden Rule (do unto others…..), Rushes expands on it by promoting a proactive stance towards positively influencing and affecting the people and environments around you.
Rushes is implementing the Unexpected Acts of Kindness campaign by asking all her Facebook and Twitter friends to send in an example of how they’re paying it forward. Winners will receive a gift certificate from their choice supermarket that will enable them to buy or contribute to their Thanksgiving dinner.
Deuteronomy 15:10 says, “Give generously to him and do so without a grudging heart; then because of this the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and in everything you put your hand to.”
