Fire crews from all over the city of Akron responded to a large commercial building fire early Monday morning.

Neighbors reported fire coming from the roof of Laundry King on Copley Road just before 2:30 a.m.

When Akron fire crews arrived, the building was engulfed in flames. Flames were seen shooting 20 to 30 feet into the night sky.

The building is a total loss with only the outer concrete walls still standing.

Copley Road is closed in both directions between Noah Avenue and Packard Drive.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
