If Black Friday is my favorite day of the year, Cyber Monday has to be my second favorite simply because it’s just like Black Friday, but you never have to leave the house (or the office)!

Stores will be rolling out some of their best offers — but only on the web — and you can find amazing savings on all the great products you didn’t get to pick up the day after Thanksgiving.

If you saw my Black Friday tips, you already know I take my shopping strategies very seriously. That goes for Cyber Monday, too.

Check out my best advice for scoring big with web-based deals, and keep the weekend of savings going just a little while longer by shopping online November 28.

1) When people ask me how I manage to save so much, I tell them there are three things to remember: Research, research and research! Don’t trust an ad that says this is the best price on the web. Do a quick search to see what the item’s selling for on other sites so you know if you’re really getting an amazing deal.

Hint: Google’s shopping search is a life saver and sites like “The Find” help you find the lowest price in seconds). Also, any time I mention a deal on Ways 2 Save, it will always be the lowest price in the country at the time I flag it.

2) Buy from people you trust. There are thousands of stores on the Web, and many of them are household names, but if you happen to find a great bargain on a site you’ve never heard of before, don’t just whip out your credit card. Do a little sleuthing first. Check websites like Reseller Ratings.com and also read the “About Us” of that company. I generally don’t favor companies that can’t be reached by phone.

3) Prices can be deceptive. Make sure you check out shipping costs and other details before you buy. You should also take a quick peek at the site’s return policy ahead of time, since buying online sometimes means footing the bill to send items back if they don’t work out.
