Now this will truly brighten some folks day! Nonprofit organizations can receive part of $1.5 million in grants from Walmart this holiday season through the company’s “12 Days of Giving” campaign.
Through Wednesday, Nov. 30, grant nominations will be accepted through the Walmart Facebook page for organizations that provide such basic needs as food, shelter, clothing and baby supplies.
Visitors can nominate local organizations by submitting a 200-word description that includes the nonprofit group’s impact in the local community.
Photos illustrating how the nonprofit organization helps families make ends meet also must be submitted.
Wal-Mart’s 12 Days of Giving kicks off December 12, when one winner will be announced every day through December 23 on their Facebook page.
