Association Executive Director Lisa Hamler-Fugitt said at a news conference Tuesday that every day is a crisis for an increasing number of Ohioans.
Her group interviewed about 4,100 people who turned to the state’s soup kitchens and food pantries last year. Most had household incomes below the federal poverty level, and nearly half reported being out of work more than two years.
