Former Temptations front man Ali “Ollie” Woodson died on Sunday, May 30 after a battle with Leukemia.

The Detroit native, who was the lead singer for legendary Motown group from 1984 to 1986 and again from 1988 to 1996, also penned the group’s hit single ‘Treat Her Like A Lady.’

Woodson left the group in 1996 and began performing as a solo artist. He also formed a group called Ollie Woodson & The Emperors of Soul.In 2002, Woodson performed with The Temptations in Japan when member Barrington “Bo” Henderson was unable to tour with the group because of visa issues.
