ODOT will update Twitter feeds when traffic is slowed by major construction or accidents that might close more than one lane of traffic for a significant amount of time. It will provide information for traffic in Akron, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Dayton and Toledo.

Twitter is a social-media tool that allows people to send out 140-character messages to large audiences.

ODOT has done little with Twitter since winter. It began tweeting in December on winter weather updates and snowplowing efforts. All messages begin “KNO B4 U Go.”
