Tuesday marks the first of 35 Election Days in Ohio with the start of early voting.

In Cuyahoga County more than half of those expected to vote in November will do so through early voting.

“I think between 55 percent and 60 percent of the ballots cast will be by mail,” said Jane Platten, Director of the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections,  “and that’s gonna be well over 200,000 ballots.”

As of Monday evening, 94,300 of the roughly 110,000 applications received by the BOE have been processed.  They will be mailed out at a rate of 30,000 a day starting Tuesday
