The national Christian Store Day promotion will take place on Saturday, Oct. 23, 2010 as consumers are encouraged to “Celebrate Faith and Community.” This unprecedented initiative marks the single largest collaborative promotional effort ever launched within the Christian marketplace, and includes Christian publishers and music companies across the industry.

Christian Store Day will align with ministry partners Compassion International, Operation Christmas Child and World Vision for the purpose of generating awareness and raising funds for continued relief and rebuilding for earthquake victims in Haiti. Plans include the exclusive sale of an enhanced compilation CD that will include recordings and e-book offerings from chart-topping artist and authors. Participating artists have donated royalties for the project, and music companies are foregoing profits to help raise funds for the ministry work.

The Christian Booksellers Association (CBA) is spearheading the initiative along with an outstanding roster of partner vendors. For more information, visit www.christianstoreday.com.

The industry’s biggest stars and most well-known names are heaping praise on the efforts of the CBA’s local retail community. Personal endorsements from best-selling authors and Dove award-winning artists spanning across multiple genres and generations continue to pour in each day.
