Leaders from Black churches across the nation will gather in Nashville Oct. 22-23 for the National Black Sunday School Conference at LifeWay Christian Resources. The training event is designed “to help strengthen Sunday Schools and to address issues within the context of traditions and culture of the Black Church,” according to a LifeWay press release.

Hoping to attract pastors, ministers of education, Sunday School directors and age group leaders, the two day conference will feature worship, general sessions and elective seminars.

According to LifeWay, leaders will learn the importance of small group outreach, five key principles for church growth, and step-by-step plans for implementation.

The conference begins Friday, 8:30 a.m.- 6 p.m.; and concludes Saturday, 8 a.m.-1 p.m.
